Fort Worth, Texas (January 24, 2025) - The Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD) is continuing its efforts to ensure that all homestead exemptions are accurate and compliant with eligibility standards. While the county-wide homestead exemption audit has been completed, homeowners do not need to reapply for a homestead exemption unless they receive a notice or application from us.
Historically, TAD conducted annual reviews of exemptions based on sector groups across the county. With the enhancement of audit services provided by True Roll, this process is now more efficient and thorough. True Roll’s services will help ensure even greater accuracy in verifying all exemptions countywide, while saving valuable time for both taxpayers and TAD staff.
